The Portland campus mainly houses academic centers, such as business, economics, history, media studies, and more. The Lewiston-Auburn campus is home to the Lewiston-Auburn College, which has become a national leader in interdisciplinary education.
USM students compete in 23 different athletic programs in the NCAA Division III. The university also hosts art shows, concerts, speakers, and other social events.
