Several leading organizations affiliated with military service will be extending an invitation to their members to attend the event, including Hire Heroes USA, Iraq & Afghanistan Veterans Association (IAVA), Marines 4 Life, Marines Leadership Scholars Program, MilitaryConnections.com, MilitaryExits.com, MilitaryMBA.com, National Association of Veterans Upward Bound, the National Guard, National Veterans Foundation, the Pat Tillman Foundation, Student Veterans of America, and TAOnline.com.
CollegeWeekLive MILITARY STUDENT DAY provides a valuable alternative for current military personnel on bases around the world for whom it may be challenging or impossible to tour colleges. "We hope that CollegeWeekLive MILITARY STUDENT DAY will help them learn about the college application process, chat live with admissions reps at schools of interest and also learn firsthand how other veterans have successfully transitioned to life on campus."
Admissions representatives from sixty colleges, ranging from Ivy League institutions including Dartmouth College and Princeton University to state schools such as Arizona State and Washington State and the California State system to private universities such as Drexel University and Duquesne University will be available to meet live online with those who login on December 1st.
