President and CEO
President and CEO Robert Rosenbloom is a seasoned entrepreneur who launched three successful Internet companies. He has a record of building strong management teams; implementing corporate, financial, and operating policies; and establishing important industry partnerships that helped build companies to highly profitable leadership positions. He brings a unique mix of business, financial, and technical acumen. Earlier in his career, Robert founded ebusiness systems provider iCongo (now Hybris), served as an early board member for Navic Networks (acquired by Microsoft in 2008), and was Director of Corporate Finance for Primedia, Inc, where he helped raise more than $1 billion and played a key role in the company's acquisition program. Robert is a leading expert in the virtual event industry, and has been quoted by ABC World News Tonight, New York Times, BusinessWeek, CBS, Fox, NBC, USA Today, and the Washington Post. He is a graduate of McGill University and received his MBA from Columbia Business School.
Fun fact: Born in Canada, Robert is a huge Montreal Canadiens fan, which can be an unsafe statement when living among Bruins fans! He's currently training to run a half marathon with his daughter Rebecca.
COO and Vice President of Product Development
Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Product Development Chris Charron has served as a thought leader in emerging consumer technology industries for 15+ years. He is an expert in building digital business models for media companies, including social networks, peer-to-peer applications, podcasting, and P2P content distribution.
Previously, he served as group vice president and leader of the Marketing & Business Strategy Practice at Forrester Research, where he was quoted extensively by media outlets such as the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Financial Times, Business Week, National Public Radio, and CNBC. Prior to Forrester, he was product manager for Vertigo Development Group. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School.
Fun fact: Chris is a former bond trader for Salomon Brothers, where he was a member of the famed "Liar's Poker" training class, immortalized by best-selling author Michael Lewis.
Chief Marketing Officer
Chief Marketing Officer Erin Warren brings strategic vision to the CollegeWeekLive team, gained through notable successes at Sallie Mae and Upromise, where she built and scaled new customer acquisition and cross-sell programs to maximize customer value across Sallie Mae. Before joining CollegeWeekLive, she was VP of Channel Marketing responsible for leading all customer acquisition and cross-selling programs for Sallie Mae's consumer-facing businesses. She also led channel marketing strategies and tactical execution of those strategies for all Sallie Mae products and services, including private student loans, credit products, retail banking products, tuition payment services, and Upromise member enrollment. Before taking on the VP of Channel Marketing role at Sallie Mae, she led customer acquisition and on-boarding for the Upromise Rewards Program prior to the acquisition of that company by Sallie Mae. Her expertise spans marketing strategies, affiliate marketing, email marketing multi-channel marketing, social media marketing, and analytics. She holds an MBA from the Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.
Fun fact: Erin is a two-time Olympian in Luge ('94 and '98), earning the highest place for women in the 1998 Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan.
Vice President of Technology
Vice President of Technology Jason DeGeorge has been managing technology and technology teams for the past 15 years at some notable technology companies in the Boston Area. Before PlatformQ, Jason served as Vice President of Engineering/Technology at Nellymoser where he managed the Engineering, Systems and IT Departments. He built Nellymoser's server team and was responsible for the technical direction and implementation architecture. Before Nellymoser, Jason served as CTO of Q2 Technologies, where he was responsible for delivering high volume, innovative solutions as well as leading the company into new technology areas. He has over 18 years of experience designing, implementing, deploying and managing multi-tiered applications in new markets.
Mr. DeGeorge studied Computer Science and Mathematics at Wesleyan University, Boston University, and Harvard University. He currently holds a Bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University in Mathematics.
Fun fact: Jason is actually a yeti who gave up his life in the Himalayan mountains to pursue a career in technology after reading the Steve Jobs biography.
Vice President of Client Services
Vice President of Client Services Sharon Fagan is passionate about helping clients succeed and build their presence online. She has helped clients of firms such as TechTarget and Access Media maximize results. As director of campaign management for Tech Target, she developed, mentored, and motivated the global client-facing team. During her tenure, she led the turnaround of multiple underperforming teams, dramatically improving efficiencies and reducing employee turnaround. Earlier in her career, she launched the first-ever website for the Massachusetts Attorney General. Sharon is a graduate of Northeastern University, where she majored in Criminal Justice.
Fun fact: Prior to her career in digital media, Sharon was a Probation Officer outside of Washington D.C.
Vice President of College and Consortium Partnerships
Vice President of College and Consortium Partnerships Michael Garvin works closely with colleges and universities in the US and abroad, government agencies, embassies, and a variety of consortiums to support their student recruitment efforts. Focused on developing new avenues for partnerships while continuously leading the sales organization in performance, Mike is very proud to have been a part of the CollegeWeekLive team since the beginning. Prior to CollegeWeekLive, Mike held roles in Government Relations, Sales Operations, and Training at Monster.com. He holds a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and resides in Boston.
Fun fact: Mike still thinks he is young and enjoys running, soccer and basketball. He also volunteers his time working with the Special Olympics of Massachusetts
Vice President of Strategic Partnerships
Vice President of Strategic Partnerships Kathryn Maguire came to CollegeWeekLive with notable experience in building alliances with powerhouse brands. She began her career at Forrest Research, managing relationships with C-level executives at Fortune 500 companies, including Abbott Labs, Cummins Engine, and Kimberly-Clarke, among others. She went on to serve as managing director for Golden Seeds, a boutique venture firm specializing in startups founded by women entrepreneurs. Kathryn has a BA from the University of Pennsylvania. On the heels of this experience, she co-founded CityVoter, creating an innovative business model using social media and e-commerce. She and her co-founders raised $6+ million in venture funding and building an impressive client base that included the top media companies in the country. Kathryn is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
Fun fact: As a mother of three young boys, she loves playing sports, building forts, and exploring the world through their eyes.
